Early 2020 Kickoff Reminds Us that it’s Never Too Early for a Good Cause.

Lots of twists and surprises are in store for the second season of Celebrity Poker Gala, with President and Founder Yosh Nakano’s announcement of a breathtaking new exclusive private location, the introduction of the new ‘Gala Games’ and an extensive lineup of celebrities eager to dust the felt for their favorite causes.

SEASON ONE RECAP

Celebrity Poker Gala Season One, currently available on Amazon Prime Video, featured a wide array of personalities, from experienced celebrity players to entertainers learning poker for the first time. Andy Dick and Bruce Buffer contributed some memorable highlights throughout, while Ken Davitian (Borat) provided colorful insight as the commentator. Egos flared as it came down to the finals, but it was all in good fun as they earned money for their charities. In the end, it came down to Omarosa battling Miguel A. Núñez Jr. and Daniel Baldwin for the title. Although Miguel held a substantial chip lead throughout, it was Baldwin’s tenacity and perseverance that earned him the acclaimed trophy.

THE CELEBRITY PLAYERS

This season a fresh suite of faces pit skill against the fickle Lady Luck with a lineup of celebrities spanning cinema, sports, and music. Favorite child star of Gremlins and Goonies turned film-and-music producer, Corey Feldman takes a seat at the table with notable red-carpet comrades including actor Noel G, who has leveraged his status to end youth gang violence while defining the Californian Gangster archetype in films such as Fast & Furious. Jason Alexander, host of his own ‘Jason Alexander Texas Hold-em Tournament’ benefitting WeSpark and their Executive Director Nancy Allen of Robocop fame will play representing the non-profit cancer support organization. Greek beauty Ariel Winter best known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the Emmy winning comedy series Modern Family is sure to bring the laughs alongside comedian and Season One Commentator, Ken Davitian of Borat, actor-director of NCIS and Tony-nominated Rocky Carroll, and Rudy Youngblood who attained Best Actor acclaim after being handpicked by Mel Gibson for the leading role in Apocalypto. Miguel A. Núñez Jr. of Nashville starring Hayden Panettiere returns for his second year, having finished runner-up in Season One, he’s sure to bring his A-game. NBA star and former Cleveland Cavalier Daniel Gibson Sr., who made a name for himself playing alongside “The King” Lebron James, will bring a champion spirit. Billboard hit-maker singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera, who knows a thing or two about being “Right on the Money” and setting the “House on Fire,” Casino-frequenting Italian mob-vibed NYC comedian Jimmy Della Valle, Juan Riedinger of the runaway hit Riverdale and wild card Tony Denison, whose acting roles on “The Closer” and “Charmed,” will swing for the fences in the names of their beloved charities.

THE GALA

The GALA will take place January 11, 2020 in a private estate in Beverly Hills. The show’s Expert Pro, World Champion Phil Hellmuth will provide graduate level poker instructions to newbies, while the lovely actress/model Rosalie Michaels returns for hands-on red-carpet interviews alongside L.A. Kings Arena Host Jay Flats as master of ceremonies. Creator Yosh Nakano and Director/Producer Justin Steele are teaming up again this season to bring even more fun, fanfare and familiar faces championing great causes.

GIVING BACK

Even if they have a little bad luck at the poker table, there’s a new way to keep winning money for charity. The introduction of “Gala Games” reserves a select group of players to participate in games of chance after they are eliminated from the tournament. The prize pool, donated by MagicalGSH LLC, guarantees celebrities will receive at least $500 in support for the charity of their choice. Yosh Nakano sets up the classic Shakespearean thrill declaring, “This is a mental competition, a ‘Survival of the Fittest.’ There will be the ecstasy of victory and the agony of losing,” but in the true philanthropic spirit of the project, “everyone is a winner.”

Spectators and charities alike will enjoy marveling at this tour de force, vying for the grand prize of giving back to society and inspiring a wave of reciprocity in 2020. In Season One GuardaHeart is the Title Non-profit. Other charities represented are Wildlife Waystation, Sunshine Kids, Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood, Reed for Hope Foundation, Lopez Foundation, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Autism Speaks, Children’s Diabetes Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, Mayte’s Rescue, Safe Passage, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, There4Go, One Step Closer Foundation, The Humane Society, ASPCA, Athletes for Life, America’s Unwanted Children, Carol M.
